Calando Panels bring peace and focus to Flagstaff Hill Kindergarten
Flagstaff Hill Kindergarten is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. However, excessive noise levels were impacting both educators and children, creating challenges in maintaining focus, regulating transitions, and fostering an engaging indoor play experience.
The Challenge
Uncontrolled noise can lead to increased stress and frustration for educators while affecting children’s ability to concentrate, regulate emotions, and engage in meaningful play. The hard surfaces and expansive spaces within the centre contributed to sound reverberation, resulting in a noisy and distracting environment.

To address these issues, Avenue Interior Systems installed 25mm Calando Panels on the ceiling along with Calando Acoustic Fabric Wall Tiles on select wall areas. These tiles were designed not only to enhance the acoustics within the room, but also to serve practically as pinboards, allowing educators to display learning materials, artwork and important notices conveniently.
