Simple, effective noise control for Patonga Community Hall
A much-loved local venue, Patonga Community Hall supports everything from yoga classes to community celebrations. But with its high ceilings and hard surfaces, it had one ongoing issue: too much echo. It made conversations difficult and impacted the experience of those using the space.
The challenge
Patonga Community Hall wanted to reduce the overwhelming sound reflections in the hall, while choosing a solution that was visually subtle and could be installed neatly within the existing structure. The team also wanted something durable, attractive and effective – all without major renovations or ongoing upkeep.

- 16 x 24mm Calando One Panels (2700mm x 1200mm) installed vertically on one side wall and one end wall
- Panels cut on-site to suit existing structure and layout

- NRC 0.7, absorbing 70% of reflected sound
- Installed using high-quality adhesives for simplicity and longevity
